Orlando, realizada en 1992, dirigida por Sally Potter, cuenta la historia de alguien que vive por espacio de cuatrocientos años, primero como hombre y más tarde como mujer. Pasando por diferentes estadios. Adaptación de la novela homónima escrita por Virginia Woolf en 1928. Con la increíble interpretación de la pétrea Tilda Swinton en el papel de Orlando. Lejos, es mi película favorita. Más allá de que la directora halla interpretado bien o no a Viriginia W en ésta obra en donde aborda su tema preferido; el de las dualidades y contradicciones que rigen nuestra psiquis, tema profundo y polémico, dicho film nos invita a un banquete estético y sonoro pocas veces visto. Es difícil conseguir la película, en cualquier formato; pero, si podés hallarla, no te la pierdas. O, por supuesto, lee el libro, es maravilloso. El soundtrack es imperdible. Jimmy Somerville entre otros músicos aparece en la película interpretando algunas canciones. Una de esas canciones, bellísima por cierto, se titula I am coming!
